New Year's Eve in the mountains in the Almchalet Goldbergleiten
Enjoy a romantic New Year's Eve in our alpine chalet in the high mountains, skiing and experiencing nature in the snow, mountain sun, and a gourmet gala menu on New Year's Eve.
Alpine skiing on absolutely snow-sure natural snow slopes, high alpine in front of the Grossglockner at over 2,000 m above sea level, ski tours in the Goldberg massif, snowshoe hikes with the national park rangers, a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride, enjoying the healthy mountain air, peace and quiet far away from the hustle and bustle of the cities - that's what a winter holiday with us in the mountains is all about!
Our New Year's Eve events on the Goldbergleiten:
- Multi-course gourmet dinner to celebrate the end of the year with the finest seafood, traditional New Year's Eve carp and specialties from the alpine house kitchen, accompanied by top wines from the legendary wine cellar of our mountain house.
- At midnight we light a large New Year's Eve fireworks display in front of the hut, toast with champagne and admire the fireworks in the Upper Mölltal. (December 31st evening until open end...)
- Classic fondue with Mölltal beef, game from our own hunt and homemade sauces in the old farmhouse parlor on the ground floor of the hut (date by arrangement), including suitable wine accompaniment.
- The Perchten are coming! The Perchten, we call them "Bartl", are mystical figures of the mountain winter who go to the farms between Christmas and Epiphany with their scary-beautiful fur costumes and huge bells to drive away the evil spirits of winter. An arcane, authentic tradition that will give you a gentle scare... Afterwards, a hearty alpine snack in the old farmhouse parlor on the ground floor of the hut (29.12. evening)

Welcome package: 1 bottle of Austrian wine from our top winemakers for the "grown-ups", 1 bottle of Austrian fruit juice for the "little" guests, large snack basket with home-smoked sausages, bacon, cheese, alpine butter and bread from the mountain farmer as a welcome.
